| The Eiffel tower stands as the main attraction to Paris . Throughout the world Paris and the Eiffel tower stand as an intertwined definition of each other which at the mention of one the other cannot be but invoked in imagery or memory. The sight of the Eiffel tower in person is unable to be properly explained through photographs. the construction of the tower contains intricate details as well as conveys a feeling of grandeur that will never be able to be properly conducted to the viewers of the millions of photographs that is has taken by visitors every year. My initial opinion of the Eiffel tower was fueled by the countless images that could be found throughout the scenery of the elementary as well as high school classrooms. The image of the tower had rendered it in my eyes as simply a metal structure which was a popular area of convergence for tourists. Once i was able to experience the tower in person i was able to see and even be part of the experience which the tower was originally meant to convey to the world. The metal structure was not simply placed in the middle of the heart of the city, it was constructed in and arranged to posses elaborate details formed by the steel such as filigree.Once i visited the tower i was able to admire more as a piece of art work rather than a construction or a building. The strenuous ascent to the first floor post a peculiar challenge to the visitor that in conjunction with the sight present a majestic accomplishment for the person conducting the climb. In addition the cardinal positions on the floor of the tower allow for the tower itself to introduce the visitor to the sights of the city of Paris and the various monuments it has to offer. The tower in a sense serves as a host to the many tourist and visitors who come from around the world to climb it. A standing symbol from the industrial movement in France the tower lures visitors from around the world due to its immense stature and at the same time it serves as a presenter of the unification and consolidation that Paris has achieved through great efforts for the past years. It also pays homage to the advancements in technology that have made possible the expansion and development of what is now the modern city of Paris.
